My baby girl is growing up too fast Every day she is doing something new that both amazes and scares me! She is becoming so smart. Here is what she has been up to over the last few days:

• She now likes to put her baby doll to bed and rock her. I bought her a really old wooden dolls bed and high chair off Trade Me that needs a paint job, but she is having fun playing with it still. It’s really cute to watch, she puts the doll in the bed, covers her with a blanket and then rocks it! A few weeks ago she wouldn’t even touch the doll!
• She is really into wearing bracelets. She loves finding them and asking me to put them on her wrist. She is even trying to stay the word bracelet!
• She understands so much, this morning I asked her to find a book called “Perky the Pukeko”, so she went over to her bookcase and grabbed it. I thought she must have just gotten lucky so I asked her to find her “Growl” book. Back she went to her bookcase and found it right away! Not only did she know what I was asking her to do, but she recognises and remembers books!
• This morning we dropped our darling cat off at the cattery. Catching Ella is always fun, but I have learnt to get her into her carry cage in the bathroom cause she can’t hide if she gets away. Miss D got most upset that we were shut in there without her, and then did not like what I was doing to Ella! In the car Miss D spent the whole time talking to Ella and said goodbye to her when we left her at the cattery. When we got back in the car Miss D looked to her left and said “Ella?” and I reminded her we had said goodbye to Ella, she then waved her hand and said goodbye again! But when we got home she started asking for Ella… she knows she is missing which is amazing!
• And finally she has been attempting to let go of my hands if we are “walking” together! She has managed to stand by herself a few times for about 2 seconds, but she thinks she is very clever! So I think it wont be long till she is off running

I think that is all for now. See what I mean about growing up too fast! But I love her so much and I can’t wait to see what awesome new skill she develops!
