Valentine’s Day
15 Feb
Mr Wonderful and I had a lovely Valentine’s Day. As I said the other day we try to keep the cost of the day down, keep it simple and thoughtful!
This year we had to giggle, as we both had the same idea for our “gifts” we just did them a little differently!
I don’t have any photos of our gifts but I printed these cute numbers from The Dating Divas and wrote one thing I love about Mr W on the back of each one. So he got to read 24 little notes from me!
Mr W did the same thing, but he just used strips of paper folded over and he placed them around the house near things that they related to… for example he taped one to Miss D’s cot and said that he loved how much effort I put into being her Mum! Super cute… and then to top it off he ended with one taped to the iPod Shuffle, where he had loaded the new song from Bruno Mars “Just The Way You Are” and had it all ready to play! This song is gorgeous and had me crying!

But apart from that, I decided that I wanted to do something nice for other people as well. So I spent the afternoon baking cookies, making chocolate hearts and then putting the icing and hearts on! Here are some photos of my baking adventure!
About 50 cookies!

The finished product, all ready to go out to 4 amazing families!

When they were all wrapped up Miss D and I headed out in the car to deliver them. It was really fun as nobody knew we were coming. It was nice to be able to turn up unplanned and deliver a yummy treat! It makes me want to do spontaneous nice things more often!
I hope you all had a lovely Valentine’s Day… I know that for some people it can be a horrible day. Until I met Mr W I never had a real Valentine, so I like that I can think about my friends on this “love” day as well!

They look scrumdiddliumpcious!!
