Ornament Swap – my creations

29 Nov

I think that most of the ladies in my group should have received their ornaments by now. So I can finally share them with you!

I made 2 versions, a heart and a star. And each one had a different word on it. The words were faith, love, peace, hope and shine.

I had lots of fun making them, and even made a few extra for a couple of other lovely people in my life! There will also be one on our tree this year too!

I have received 2 of my ornaments so far, and I look forward to getting the other ones! It’s always nice to find a package in my mailbox! :)

Christmas is coming!

29 Nov

Last night Mr Wonderful turned on some Christmas music and I started decorating!

I got my nativity scene set up, I added the frames, I blogged about the art work here:

And my stocking holders with the Subway Art and glitter trees that I made last year:

And today Miss Delightful and I went to choose our Christmas tree!

It will be delivered on Saturday morning! Yay! Christmas really is coming :)

Supermarket Goofball

29 Nov

Miss Delightful was being a goofball at the supermarket the other day. She was wearing her sunglasses in the car and decided she wanted to wear them on her head “just like Mummy”! Oh how I love her! :)

Thanksgiving Dinner

28 Nov

Last night was our annual Thanksgiving dinner with our lifegroup. It was such a great evening! We were lucky enough to be able to use the church, which meant the kids had heaps of space to run around in. And we set up tables so that all the adults were able to sit down and eat.

Here are a few photos from our dinner -

The tables all set:

Time to eat! There were 17 adults and 16 kids:

And this was actually a few days ago… Miss Delightful helped me put together the candy for the adults:

I am looking forward to next years dinner already!!

Glasses

The other day my cutie stole my glasses… and decided she was going to wear them!

Hopefully she wont need to wear any of her own for a few more years!

Fabric Balls

25 Nov

One of my projects last week was to create some of these cute fabric balls:

I saw a tutorial over at Landee See, Landee Do. They were too cute to ignore! And with Christmas coming, I decided to make mine with Christmas fabric. Since the fabric strips are just pinned to the ball I can easily change the fabric with the different seasons!

Now they are sitting in my $3 bowl on my coffee table. Miss Delightful has learnt very quickly that they are not toy balls and she doesn’t play with them!

I wonder what the next creation will be!?! :)
