Things I am thankful for

Here are a few things that I am thankful for this week:

- Having strong legs/muscles… I am not a fit/athletic person, but I am trying. This week I am thankful that my legs move when I ask them to. A few weeks ago I ran my first 5km race, it was hard. After the race my morning runs turned to custard. I couldn’t run for more than 10 minutes and it was really discouraging. But today I managed to get out there and run for 28 minutes with no walking! I was so excited when I got home, Mr Wonderful and I did a little dance in the living room! :)

- Having medical help just a phone call away. Miss Delightful decided to do some couch surfing yesterday and managed to split the inside of her top lip, where the lip meets the gum (run your tongue across the top and you will feel a joining thingy, that is no longer joined)! There was a lot of blood and scream… but once we were all calm, I called up Healthline (love them!) and the nurse I spoke to was very helpful. Thankfully it looks semi-ok today. Miss D is having a hard time opening her mouth wide, taking big bites of anything, and it’s a bit puffy. But she is eating soft food and playing happily so I’m not worried (anymore)!

- Kindy starting up again. Miss D went back yesterday for her first day. She was so excited, she was ready to go by 9am.. she doesn’t get to go until 1pm! hehe. She had a great day back, was a bit quiet, but that could be due to the split lip about 1 hour before kindy started! Poor girl! :)

- My sewing machine and my hubby who lets me be creative. I’m sure I spend too much money on fabric and other bits, but it is so much fun, really rewarding, and I love making things to give as gifts!

    Like you, for family. Grandchildren that make me laugh, children that make me proud, best friend who just keeps on keeping on. A safe country, good health, warm weather… :)
