Gardening delight

August8

Miss Delightful adores any opportunity to get outside. It has been a bit limited lately with all the wet weather we have been experiencing. So when we had 2 sunny days in a row last week we took both chances to get out in the fresh air.

The first day we did some gardening, I needed to pull quite a few weeds and fill up our garden bin. So Miss D helped me with her spade and enthusiasm:

The next day we just went out for a play, Miss D rode around on her bike from the Toy Library and played with some balls. Then she sat and devoured an apple!

We can’t wait for summer to arrive!!!!

Bubble wrap fun

This is such an awesome idea! We have so much bubble wrap left over from moving! Now to think of someone to create this for!

All about Ducks

July12

Miss D really likes ducks (actually she likes any animal). So I decided that we would have a theme for each week. Last week was duck week. Obviously she is still really young to do many activities, but we did do a few fun things!

On Monday we coloured in a picture of a duck.
On Tuesday we went to the lake to feed the ducks (Miss D didn’t really want to share her bread though!).
On Wednesday we played with her letters and spelled the word duck.
and on Friday we used another picture of a duck, but this time she stuck pieces of yellow & brown paper on to the duck.

We also read a few stories that happened to have ducks in them, so I pointed them out to her. She sometimes says the word duck, but she has to be in the right mood :)

Here are some photos of our duck adventures (you can click on the picture to make it bigger)!
